Obi is an area that is in the middle of Nichinan
It used to be Obi Village in an area called Nakagun and is now known as a former castle town of Obi Castle that belonged to Obi Clan.
Architecture of Edo Era such as area for Samurai housings, for tradesmen and artisan, and for around temples still remain
Places such as Yahata-Dori, Yokobaba-Dori, and Otemon-Dori are selected as Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Historic Buildings
