Takachiho, home to myths

Takachiho is at the center of Kyushu Mountain area and is at the north end of Miyazaki prefecture
Gokase River runs through the town, starting from northwest to southeast
In between, you can enjoy Takachiho Isthmus, which is a natural monument
The height of the flatland is 300m so the temperature between summer and winter is quite different
The four seasons make the scenery even more impressive, such as green leaves in spring and colored leaves in fall
The origin of Takachiho leads us back to around 4000 B.C. judging from the heritage sites and items that were discovered
Takachiho is also known for myths such as Gate of the Celestial Rock Cave and Tenson Korin (the grandson of the sun goddess coming down to earth)
